Andrews doubtful, Reggie ready to go

Right guard Shawn Andrews (back) probably isn't going to be ready Sunday. Wide receiver Reggie Brown will be.

Andrews' absence could be a major problem for the Eagles' offense. Coincidence or not, the Birds' offense sputtered in the second half last week without him. Max Jean-Gillis will start in Andrews' place. Add to the situation that center Jamaal Jackson has been away from the team all week handling a personal situation and the Eagles' line is a major concern against a stingy Steelers defense.

Brown (hamstring) will play Sunday barring a major setback in the next day or so. It wouldn't be surprising though for him to be used as just another guy, shuffling in and out with the rest of the Eagles' receivers. Coach Andy Reid wouldn't even say that Brown would be starting.

Whether they are just bringing Brown back slowly or this is his new role has yet to be determined, but don't be surprised if Brown's playing time decreases this season. He struggled to catch the ball and show any sort of consistency in training camp. Plus, the Eagles' receivers have done a solid job in his absence, particularly that DeSean guy, who might bump Brown to the third receiver spot once Kevin Curtis returns.
