Have we seen the last of Sean Considine?

Could it be? Are we finally done seeing Sean Considine on the field? Was getting beat deep by Terrell Owens in Dallas the final straw?

Considine was barely on the field Sunday afternoon against Pittsburgh. In fact, we don't remember seeing him on defense for one snap. It could be that the Eagles didn't use their nickel formation, where Considine comes in as a third safety. Or it just could be that the team has lost confidence in his ability.

It's not like the Steelers didn't use three or four receiver sets. They actually started the game with four wides.

Surely nobody in Philadelphia would be too disappointed if Considine was relegated strictly to special teams. He was not a fan favorite during his time as a starter. It's hard to be when you're specialty is getting trucked by opposing players. Who can forget Considine getting run over by Deuce McCallister in that playoff game almost three years back? Plus, if his pass coverage isn't very good either -- and it hasn't been so far this year -- what good is it to have Considine out on the field? None. Which could also be his future playing time.
